Team Internet is a national organizing project coordinated by the groups Demand Progress, Free Press Action Fund, and Fight for the Future. There are hundreds of thousands of people among the combined groups who are fighting for strong net neutrality protections. These groups are concerned that if net neutrality is not protected, corporations may be able to slow internet traffic and censor content. The groups conducted 700 protests to save net neutrality in December.
On Wednesday, March 21, 2018, Team Internet organized events outside the offices of six key Senators, including Sen. Kennedy in New Orleans, to urge them to become the 51st vote in favor of the Congressional resolution to restore net neutrality.
