Endorsement Meeting (Zoom) for Gretna & Westwego Candidates 7 p.m. Tues., March 2

The Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee has invited these Democratic candidates in contested local races to an endorsement meeting with JPDEC at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 2, via Zoom:

Miguel Romar and incumbent Rudy Smith, running against each other in Gretna Council District 1; and Norman Fonseca, running against Republican Lisa Valence in Westwego Council District 3. Candidates will be interviewed by committee menbers, and a two-thirds vote is required for a JPDEC endorsement.
