Early Voting Starts Saturday, March 6!

          Early voting for the March 20 spring municipal primary election will be held from 8:30 a.m.-6 p.m., Saturday, March 6, through Saturday, March 13 (excluding Sunday, March 7) at these Jefferson Parish locations: (1) Yenni Building, 1221 Elmwood Park Blvd., Suite 502, Jefferson. (2) 408 Minor St., Kenner. (3) 5001 Westbank Xway, Suite C-2, Marrero.

          The Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee has endorsed these candidates in contested elections involving Democratic candidates:

          LA 2nd Congressional District -- State Sen. Troy Carter.

          LA State House District 82 -- Ray Delaney Jr.

           Gretna City Council District 1 -- Rudy Smith.       

           Westwego City Council District 3 -- Norman Fonseca.
