JEFFERSON PARISH DEMOCRATS TO HONOR JAMES CARVILLE
James Carville, longtime Democratic strategist and Louisiana native, will be honored 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, 2023, with the Blue Horizon Award at the Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee’s annual Blue Horizon Banquet. The award is given to a deserving Democrat for outstanding work on behalf of Democratic ideals.
Carville, 78, is the original Ragin’ Cajun. He was the primary strategist when Bill Clinton was elected president in 1992 -- and Carville has continued to be an influential force for decades in the Democratic Party and a political pundit on network news.
The banquet will also feature special guest Congressman Troy A. Carter, plus seven deserving community service award-winners who work or volunteer on behalf of Jefferson Parish, Democratic causes, and our greater community.
