JPDEC Endorses Ray Delaney by Acclamation in LA State House District 82

At a special meeting Feb. 17 of the Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee, all 21 members present voted by acclamation to endorse Dr. Ray Delaney Jr. of Harahan in the Louisiana District 82 State House race.

 Delaney has a long record of service – Army veteran, Orleans Parish sheriff’s deputy, professor of criminal justice at Southern University-New Orleans. He was born in New Orleans to a young mother who worked multiple jobs and taught him the value of faith, hard work and integrity. Delaney has worked – in both professional and volunteer capacities -- for nearly two decades on public safety, equality in criminal justice and civic engagement.

 JPDEC enthusiastically endorses Ray Delaney as the one candidate who will fight to raise the quality of life for all residents and provide equal opportunity and justice for all in LA District 82. Early voting starts March 6, with election day Saturday, March 20.
