The Jefferson Parish Democratic Executive Committee will honor Democracy and celebrate Democrats 6-9 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 19, at The Four Columns banquet hall in Harvey.

++ JAMES CARVILLE, Ragin’ Cajun political consultant and expert voice on network news, will accept the Blue Horizon Award for his longstanding work to boost Democrats in Louisiana and across the nation.

++ MORE AWARDS will be given to Democrats for exemplary service to community and work on behalf of Democratic causes. Community-service award-winners will be announced soon.
