The Jefferson Parish Democrats will present a Facebook livestream discussion with School Board District 6 candidate Lauren Jewett at 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. Jewett has qualified for the runoff election Dec. 10; early voting starts Saturday, Nov. 26.

Jewett is an outstanding candidate, offering classroom experience, deep understanding of issues affecting teachers, parents and students alike, and a passion for education. She's an exceptional needs specialist with 13 years' experience in Greater New Orleans. She'll bring invaluable perspective as a professional educator to the Jefferson Parish School Board and District 6, which stretches from David Drive to Veterans Memorial Boulevard and from Airline Highway to Hullen Street.
