JPDEC to Meet via Zoom at 7 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, 2022 -- Proposed DSCC Bylaws Changes and How They Impact JPDEC Are on the Agenda

Folks: This is your notice that the JPDEC will meet on Tuesday, March 15, 2022 at 7pm via Zoom. Zoom invitation and agenda are attached.

Please be advised that the DSCC at its March 19 meeting will vote on provisions restricting the actions that JPDEC and other DPECS across the state can take. One new provision would prohibit JPDEC and others from making endorsements in any federal, statewide, Public Service Commission or BESE elections. and regarding constitutional amendments. JPDEC needs to discuss these new provisions and offer whatever guidance it determines appropriate to our DSCC members who will be voting on these bylaws so I have placed that on the agenda.

The complete agenda:

Call to Order / Roll Call, including call for proxies / Pledge of Allegiance / Introduction of guests / Secretary’s report / Treasurer’s report / 1st Vice Chair Report (Endorsement Subcommitee) / 2nd Vice Chair Report ( Public Relations Subcommittee) / 3rd Vice Chair Report ( Fundraising Subcommittee) / DSCC report / Voter Engagement Subcommittee Report / Policy Subcommittee Report / Chair report / Discussion of proposed DSCC bylaws / New business / Public comment
